Amazing young local artists and achievers keep making headlines in Tampa Bay, and today we’re delighted to highlight 10 year old Jadah Carrera, of Spring Hill, whom the Tampa Bay Times reported on Friday.  According to the Times, Jadah  and now ranks among  some of the best young dancers in the country.

Among her honors:

• All-Star performer at Hall of Fame dance convention last fall
• First place in the jazz category and Petite Dancer of the Year in the 2011 DanceAmerica Nationals held  in Schaumberg, IL
•  Platinum award at the 2012 Turn It Up! Dance Championships in Orlando
• First runner-up for Miss Junior Turn It Up

Many of the awards came with scholarships, and more opportunities lie ahead of Ms.  Carrera this summer,  Erin’s Danceworks Competition Team to DanceAmerica Nationals in Orlando at Disney World on July 3.

“I hope to be on Broadway someday,” she told the Times.  It sounds like she’s well on her way!
