Matthew Temmer Brings Voice for Youth Empowerment to TEDxYouth@TampaBay 2011

"Kids are just as important to society as adults are! Give us a chance to talk!"

Matthew Temmer, 14, attended Hillel Academy of Tampa and is currently a freshman in the International Baccalaureate program at Land O Lakes High School.

Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, visiting theme parks, riding his bicycle, singing, and acting. He had lead roles in his middle school productions of Annie Jr., High School Musical, and Beauty and the Beast (play version). He plans to be a Hospitality Manager and work at his favorite place-the Walt Disney World Resort.

For all the fun and entertainment focus in Matthew’s life, he brings a serious message to TEDxYouth@TampaBay 2011.  A formerly shy student, Mathew found his voice in art, and found that other young people were grateful for an opportunity to be heard, too.

We’re grateful that Matthew is bringing his passion, and his compassion, to TEDxYouth@TampaBay!  Below is a small portion of a film created by Matthew as part of the Art Not Hate project.
