TEDxYouth@TampaBay Welcomes New Partner Whitzend Kidzone

TEDxYouth@TampaBay is delighted to welcome Whitzend Kidzone , of Tampa, as an event partner!

Whitzend is a “teacher-owned, student-inspired, smoke-free, drug-free,alcohol-free, bully-free, label-free supervised Saturday night “club treehouse without the tree” hangout for youth 13-16.  Whitzend specializes in fostering socialization with real people in real locations, not virtual ones.

“If kids want to DJ and have equipment, come on down, ” invites educator and Whitzend owner, Deborah Kelley. ” Guest DJs, singers, and bands are always welcome on our stage. We offer free admission to any performer on the night he/she performs and free promotion on our website. “

Whitzend is also the voice behind the StopH8 campaign, aimed at ending bullying of all kinds.

We’re honored to be collaborating with Whitzend on a TEDxYouth@TampaBay InterActivity.  Whitzend youth will be running a green screen area during breaks where attendees can create short films and customized sourvenier photos commemorating their Day of Ideas worth Spreading.

There’s still time to be a founding audience member of the fun and interaction on November 20.  Click the button below to apply now for a free ticket to TEDxYouth@TampaBay!
