Beti Gathegi is the founder of Poly Republic a website that focuses on career women. Gathegi started the project in an effort to build and/or join a community discussing dynamic women with interesting careers. She has always been impressed and inspired by such women, hoping one day to become one. Poly Republic uses multimedia to actively engage its readers and to share the wisdom, information and stories of women who have discovered what they want to do in life.

Beti Gathegi is a Kenyan-American and native of California, currently residing in Wesley Chapel, FL. She graduated from Temple University with honors, where she majored in Communications and minored in Sociology. She went to graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. Having worked in public relations, non-profits and a production facility, she is also a freelance writer.
